  2. BOOT METHODS

  4. At the boot: prompt you can enter a boot method followed by boot
  5. parameters. (Boot parameters are listed in the <F4> and <F5> screens.)

  7. Available boot methods:
  8. default
  9.   Start the installation.
  10.  
  11. (For these two methods you need an extra root floppy.)
  12. ramdisk0 (or ramdisk1)
  13.   Start installation, load the ramdisk from the first 
  14.   (or the second) floppy drive
  15. floppy0 (or floppy1)
  16.   Start installation, mount the floppy in the first (or the second)
  17.   floppy drive as root.
  18.   (If you have only one floppy drive, you cannot load base from
  19.   floppy0, but you can install from other media (CD, harddisk ...)
  20.  
  21. rescue
  22.   Boot and mount any root filesystem. The root filesystem must be given at
  23.   the prompt, so e.g. type rescue root=/dev/hda1
